This will be a place for you all to share your desktop rice. Mostly concerning X11 & Wayland (so I'm looking at you LINUX and BSD guys) but if you have a cool Windowblinds theme on Windows then that's fine too.

I've been experimenting with Windowmaker recently, barebones window managers weren't really my thing until now as I tried a few CDE forks and they all were lacking in one aspect or another. Anyway, here's my new setup:

My first impressions are: If you're looking for a good WM that stands on it's own and don't wanna build a DE from scratch with Openbox, I think Windowmaker and Afterstep are great options. It's a little unorthodox and takes a lot more manual setup but I think it's worth it. The Nextstep interface has been really intuitive, and if you're okay with writing configs by hand I hear the competitor Afterstep has even more options to play with
