Neat!
As much as I delve into those topics and they are the primary focus, I'm open on anything oldnet. Websites, games, chats, communities, you name it. My interests lean towards the gimmicky but fun programs of the day, and 3D virtual worlds are a treasure trove IMO.
Yeah, they are super neat to see, people thinking of the future of presenting information that early on--just nothing I have a ton of experience with. Most I've done is read a bunch about VRML.
I wouldn't call it a good representation of my taste, really. I have a few random ones in there too that I got because some sellers have a minimum purchase value before you're allowed to checkout. I think I've got one CD in there that's just "healing music", haven't ever listened to it.
I've got a last.fm tracking all the way back to 2021:
https://www.last.fm/user/bonkmaykr/library/artistsI used to have a last.fm way back in the mid-2010s. It'd probably be easier now that I do a lot less mobile listening, but it was such a hassle trying to get everything scrobbled from my iPod, or even just listening to CDs and manually scrobbling them with a website. I had a grab of all my data from that account before I closed it, but I don't know if I still have it (I lost a ton of data in 2019 and that was the day I resolved to never buy another Apple product ever again--not that I bought that Mac, but still). If I recall, my top albums at the time were Smashing Pumpkins'
Gish, Blur's self-titled, and Silversun Pickups'
Swoon and
Pikul. I think
"The Fuzz" from
Pikul was my top track of all time by the time I quit.
Edit: I see Underworld. Good shit. I don't listen to them often, but every time I put on
dubnobass and
Second Toughest, I'm reminded of why I liked 'em in the first place. I'm not super experienced with electronica outside of a few stray things friends have recommended me, but I could definitely go for more of it.
