: assuming WCG monitors this forum, how about a few suggestions for future versions / upgrades.... tops on my list...( after more speed) would be further sound support .. perhaps in the form of attachable "human" sounds to send along with the text..I dont know if this is technically possible ... but .. maybe.... a few giggles, guffaws, whistles, boos, cheers, and the odd lip smacking kiss would sure liven things up for those of us who do keep the sound on......thnx

I still want a fully editable Avatar Gallery.

A friends list that checks for people that I put into it, and tells me if there on-line.

File transfer, yes!

Voice? Hmmm never thought about it until Powwow 3.0, but it is funny I must say.

I would also like a private mode for the times you globally want to mute everyone, and only speak to one person, or your group, or the room your in.

And I want ALOT more secret rooms, and ALOT more tricks! I don't know if the tricks are intentional. I hear there not. But they make Worlds Chat alot of fun.

I would like to see faster text during busy internet times. This probally means completly redesigning the software. But if you have lag, and can't hang with the conversation... What's the point to chat...

I would also like to see a line condition checker before logging in. Instead of booting people to single user. I want an option to try again, or if the lines are bad or not connected, then offer single user.

While I'm on errors. I would like to see better error messages. Instead of something went wrong.. Thats it. It just happened, can only tell you in what code or line... Sorry... Better luck next time.

And, finally, I would like to see user's beta testing the upgrades. So there is a wider base of computers being tested for possible bugs.

Okay, that's all... Please expand on anything if you want to! Let Worlds Inc know what we would like to see.. Maybe it can be implemented soon.

I want to second the vote for file transfer!
None of the chat programs with voice I have tried
(onlive, powwow, cyberbabble, televox, etc....) have what I would call high sound quality or any particular ease of use for sound, so lets forget voice until the technology catches up!
How about a whiteboard that can be brought up in the room ("Let me draw you a diagram!")
And, Odin, I respectfully disagree with you concening "tricks" the BUGS should be fixed! I'm sure some of them are quite intentional (SKY is made for flying!) But those "holes in the Garden
annd the Catacombs really should be plugged!
Changing usernames should be made less difficult or users should be allowed mor.
we should have at least fifty placemarks rather than the twenty we have.
The demo should alow for NAMES! Instead of Guest_007, it should be Guest_Tom or Guest_Lisa. I hate calling people numbers! Besides it will make them feel more welcome!
It would be nice to select the default avatar, thhat is rather than the manekin, we could make them all penguins, puppys or naked ladys!
I think the mute command should also blank the avatar of the muted person. There should also be an editable permaanent mute list of participants you never want to hear from.
and add a new world which includes a beach!

C'mon Worlds, we know you're aware of our constant search for secrets. How about some rooms that can only be accessed upon cracking a secret. That wouldn't be THAT hard, would it?

Keep up the great work,

Hey man, I love the bugs!!! Keep em cummin. Bugs are the biggest reason the I use Worlds Chat. I know tons of 'em and I'm sure there are many that have yet to be discovered.

And doc, there is a way to make it so that you see all of the avs you don't have as pengies or puppies or whatever, assuming that you have the av on your hard drive. Ok so what you do is find the name of the avatar that you want to see in place of the manikens. Then change the name of the file to Woody. For example: I think the name of the pengy av is Pengo. So what you do is:

Find the file Woody.mov and erase it.
Find the file Pengo.mov and change it to Woody.mov.

This should make all the avs you don't have, Pengies. The only problem is that you won't know if a person is a pengy or not. I hope this helps.

Okay, I don't have a long list of things I would like, but the one I do want (besides those aforementioned by others) is a feature to make yourself invisible when someone logs on and calls your name...so that it sends them a message saying you are not found..including making your own av invisible if you so choose...Also, I LIKED the F3 feature in the old Worlds...Of course, being a woman I like to look at myself all the time anyways *grin*

LOL! I backed up Woody. But you know when people are manakins if there nekkid ladies! Hehehehe... And if you suddenly have an AarDdog explosion... Possibly they are woody's too!

I liked changing Jean.mov to a cow, then copying the beast.snd into the cat.snd, so now the Pond Cat is a mooing cow! It's much less anoying!

You can even make it a (dare I say it after meating Potty Mouth) Port-a-Potty, with the door.snd combination! LOL

But remember!! BACK UP BACK UP BACK UP!

Hi,

I also agree on every post on this catagory. I got an improvement that I would like to see myself. I believe this feature is on mirc and powwow as well. For instance, under one of the pull down menus could be a choice as "Set Away Msg". When clicked on, a little box would come up saying "Type In Your Away Msg", and give ya a text area to type an away msg in. Once you do this you would then look on the bottom of this little box and click on "accept" or "cancel". This will then close the box and you'll be back looking at worlds chat. This could be usefull for if you happen to leave the keyboard for a snack or a bathroom break. What would happen is that when someone would whisper to you, your away msg that you typed would be send to him/her automatically via a whisper. Therefore like when I leave for a sec, I tell the people who i'm talking to that i'm leaving. Well lets say when i'm gone another friend or guest logs into worlds chat and is trying to talk to me but i'm not responding. Well if we had this, the away msg that I typed would be sent to him/her and then him/her would understand why i'm not talking to him/her instead of getting mad or thinking that i'm ignoring him/her. How you would turn this on or off is by when you first clicked on that setting stated above, it would put a check mark next to it only after you typed your msg and hit enter or selected "accept". To turn it off simply select the setting again and the check mark would dissappear. This is sorta like an answering machine type of thing. Whew my hands hurt now.
Thanx for your time,
scott

Hi,
How about an upgrade that verified your e-mail address when submitting new user names?

I know, it sounds crazy at first. But a hackers can fake your registration number, sell it, and your out!

If you had it double check your registration number to your e-mail address, your are protected two ways. And it would be real nice if you were to a get an e-mail from Worlds verifying that a name was added to your account. If you did not add a name, you can take corrective action. And your also protected from innocent mistakes. Like someone typing two 0's and getting your number by accident.

If this wasn't advailable as a new upgrade feature, we'd go to add an user name, only to find out that all of them have been taken!

Hi...

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Wouldn't it be neat to throw Birthday Parties, Holiday Parties, Weddings and Luau's and stuff whenever we wanted to!! Well, I know we can now..but I'm talking about with DECORATIONS and STREAMERS and BALLOONS and EVERYTHING!!!! Why can't Worlds create Respository with downloadable party scenes in it..We would then be able to decorate a room, or a world for any special occassion!!! Banquet Tables!!! Banners!!! Think of IT!!!hehe... Anyone else think this is cool?haha...or am I the only one!!EEK!!! 8-)..

How about e-mail too? I know we have the option to send in address when we register. If there was some way this can be tapped into so you can send a user e-mail from Worlds. This sounds like it would be difficult tho'... But if someone was not on-line, it can tap into their address and you cen send them mail. Ofcourse, you, as the user, would have options to have this feature turned off if your the paraniod, or e-mail overloaded sort.

I'd like to see the Option to LOG the WC dialog text. It seems like it would be something that Worlds, Inc. could incorporate into the WCG product, knowing HOW the text flows through your machine, they could create some type of subroutine into the software which CAPTURES the text into a text file. Having this feature would enable you to have a copy of E-Mail addresses, URLs, step-by-step instructions, etc. that people may share with you during the course of conversation.

If the dialog were saved to a text file, you could always refer back to it later, to get the information at your convenience, or as a backup in the event you lose the note you made at the time! :-(

The "Logging" capability might also serve to establish some type of "accountability" for the folks who are prone to be abusive to other users, since they feel they're "anonymous" or "you can't prove I ever said that!..." type of scenarios.

Just thought I'd add my two (2) cents worth...in case Worlds, Inc. is "listening"...
