No, you deffinatly do not want a major service like AOL, or Compuserve to connect to Worlds Chat! They offer the slowest connections imaginable! Your better off with AT&T or a local ISP like me and Galaxian.
I don't have a credit card, so I can't give AT&T a test drive and see what problems you are running into.
But all you need is a solid connection, and winsock software. If AT&T Does not provide it with their installation pack, perhaps you can call them and have it mailed to you.
Winsock is critical software that lets you connect to servers accross the net. I too would think you have it, if you are using Netscape. But AT&T had Netscape make that version for them, and I really don't know that much about their software.
It is best to try to connect when the internet is slow, and doesn't have alot of traffic. This is usually after 2:00pm Pacific time. Also, try giving your self a longer time to connect to Worlds Chat by changing the TIMEOUT value to a few more seconds in your WORLDS.INI file located in your Windows Directory. Try incriments of 15 seconds. Intil either you connect, or till 60 seconds.
If that still doesn't work, try changing the TFRSERVER to the numerical value, just incase AT&T is having a problem converting it into this. It will look like "TFRSERVER=205.153.210.35"
Good luck, I hope you get on!
